WORKERS’ COMPENSATION

We provide representation to both self-insured employers and employers covered by insurance at all levels of the workers’ compensation proceedings.  Our workers’ compensation department focuses on all aspects of the workers’ compensation law including coverage issues, defense of workers’ compensation claims, third-party liability and recovery and apportionment of liability.  We have successfully defended workers’ compensation claims throughout the eight districts.  We have also presented cases before the Compensation Review Board, the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Connecticut Supreme Court. 

Our workers’ compensation department in conjunction with our Employment Law Department have both represented employers in a variety of claims and provided counseling to them to handle or prevent future claims.

We provide training to carriers and at workers’ compensation seminars on topics such as:
